 Why is Kokon Tozai Created?
Kokon Tozai, means Past & Present and East & West in Japanese. All along, Kimono has always been viewed by outsiders as clothes worn only by Japanese women on special occassions. However, we wanted to change that view. We believe that each fine quality Kimono is a piece of art which can be used to inspire new creations and that explains our shop's existence to create trendy and unique items for people in this modern era.
Can I buy Kokon Tozai Products in Japan?
Unlike mass-produced souvenir products, we design most of our items and they are mostly handmade by artists in small workshops in Kyoto, Japan. Our products are even difficult to be found in Japan and that is why many Japanese tourists who visit Singapore purchase from us.  |
